in 2019 I quit my full-time job that was no longer aligned and jumped into starting a business
Here's what happened and what I would do different
In early 2019 I was managing a location for a food company, which was basically like running my own little business.
I did all of the hiring, training, and management, the inventory, sales, marketing, and events management
But then the company hired a CEO that had previously been the CEO of Jamba Juice and things changed and became very high pressured
My new director would show up first thing upon opening and hound me all day then follow me to my car to berate me
So I quit
I decided to leap all into my healing business
But at the time did not have very many clients
So I invested in a program to help me to learn to do that
Right around the time I had a car accident which built up a lot of medical debt that I had a very hard time to get out of, and found it very hard to work or do any regular jobs or be on the computer much
Needless to say this took me on a bit of a deep spiral and did end up filing bankruptcy from all of the medical debt, but I found my way after
I spiraled up and created consistency
But if I were to do it again I would do it differently
If I NEEDED to leave that job which I felt I did
I would either find something part time in person with tips or online freelance work to cover the baseline but give me enough space to build something that could create my freedom
I would focus on creating a true business or leveraging existing structures
I basically would do exactly what I’m doing now (high ticket affiliate sales and the healing work I love) but I would’ve given myself a more solid transition and spaciousness to create it
Because the truth was my nervous system couldn’t handle the stress of my healing work needing to make all the money and it took WAY longer to build it
Curious, where are you currently at in your journey and what do you want to create?
Are you clear on the stepping stones and bridges that will help you make that happen?
